In 2007 I was rather baffled by the opposition my good-faith edits would get.

It was obvious that special interest groups (criminal ones) were trying to get and keep their bias on things in wikipedia.
But the majority coulf never be part of that conspiracy.
So why do they condone the conspiracy ?

In 2007 I did not find an answer.

In 2020 we saw the same mechanisme at work OUTSIDE wikipedia. The phenomenon turns out to be known and called "mass formation".

It was pioneered by Hannah Arendt, Gustave le Bon, Sigmund Freud ... and in the corona era the theory was recalled by Mattias Desmet.

So my main problem with wikipedia is that society creates an illusory reality. In which facts do not matter. And those facts will be deleted anywhere on en.wikipedia because the agents will see them and the majority of editors will hate those facts.

They want to live in the lie. Facts that oppose their lie are disgusting to them. Rational thought fails.
