Too bizarre to be fiction. Not noted in the article: it seems that Erdoğan is starting to "dislike" Oktar, so there may be problems for the "great anti-Darwinist". You have to look at Turkish sites to find out more--Turkish sites that are heavily censored for fear of angering one or the other of these "great leaders".

Anything that does not denounce Israel is Zionistic in that worldview, so the rational Episcopal school I attended as a kid was pro-Israel by default because they didn't have a slogan like "Bringing God's love to Everyone but those Damn Israelis since 1954."

Adnan Oktar is the Islamic version of Jack van Impe or Dr. Gene Scott, just with sexy women instead of Scott's collection of horses, funny hats, and the "FCC Monkey Band" (a bunch of those electric motorized monkeys turned on and "playing" for the camera; it was a jab at the Commission over fines).

The world needs more Gene Scotts and fewer of the other sorts of "preachers". A Stanford philosophy PhD and a Christian who told the unvarnished truth; how subversive can you get. Plus he was vastly more entertaining than van Impe or Graham or Osteen or Robertson blahblah the list goes on forever. Don't start me on Benny Hinn or the other "prosperity gospel" freaks. Proof that our civilization is declining.

Prosperity Gospel has been going on as long as conspicuous consumption, I think since the 1920s. You had to be black or a poor white to be in that world, and the IFB robots I went to school with derided PG and the '80s televangelists.
