EU policy/Big Fat Brussels Meeting V
This is complete useless, Romaine. It is absolute clear you don't have any idea how the EU is functions, or what the EU is. I don't know what you told that Americans, but the EU is not a European gouvernement. But you are a lier, you always was.
The members of the European parlement have to listen to there nation parlement trough there party's. They have not any, any freedom, they can't chance anything or only a very little. There is not any political support for your vision, the Piratenpartij what support that vision hardly had any votes in Europe. There is not a single change in Europe anything basic changes in the copyright in the direction of free source. Because that is impossible without national political support, so this is a complete wasting of time and money.
And what about the new European privacy law? What did you discuss about that on your big fat meeting Romaine? Nothing? You are a fool Romaine. A trol, a lier and a fool, and I can proof that very easily. Or was you not trolling on Wikiquote? And the rest?

Like all cults, they care not how unachievable their goal is. It is missionary work to them.

Re: EU policy/Big Fat Brussels Meeting V
But the real strange thing is in a few days the the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is valid, as you can read here the most important change in data privacy regulation in 20 years, but there was that big, fat meeting not about!
And if you read here they know very well how the EU functioning, The Council of the EU failed to reach a decision on copyright reform last Friday, meaning bickering between Member States will continue well into May. That is the EU at it's best, the most important member states are all trying to win the second world war after more than 70 years. We don't use weapons anymore, no, now the trenches are in the Brussels arena. France, Belgium, Holland, Germany etc. will never, never give up there very strict copyright regulation. There is not any political support for that like I said before. Free internet in Europe is a illusion, nothing is free in Europe! What I said about Switzerland counts for all the EU, to fuck your one wife you need a permission nowadays like a Greek friend of me said to me years ago. So, what is Romaine doing there in Brussel with his Free Knowledge Advocacy Group EU? it's complete unclear and useless, and the real important things they don't discuss.
Romaine and his socks are a kind of family of me. He is trolling and lying from the first moment I entered Wikipedia, I know every troll trick of him, he trolled himself in heaven on Wikiquote and also on WP-NL. Romaine Wikimedia. Romaine is wikimedia-NL/BE, and Wikimedia-NL/BE is Romaine. It's a pity it's in Dutch, De Kolonel made a really great collection of the Romaine and his friends trolling, sabotage and lying on Wikiquote. Romaine made trolling and lying to his profession you know.

So some Wikipedians had a nice day out with free lunch courtesy of the donors. Not a large trough, but attractive to unambitious snouts.

Of course. They have to compete with lobby groups of big editors like Elsevier etc. who have professional lobbyists who know there way in Brussel far better than they do. And nobody wants to change anything fundamental at the moment in Europe, and absolute not such a political unimportant item. Europe is in crisis and struggling to survive, we are in the era of the post European crisis and the Brexit. This kind of matters are very low on the agenda.
The EU tries to convince the European population they will not destroy the national identity of the European country's at the moment, and want to keep as much they can the same. They want to change as little as possible, because it's crystal clear the population of Europe don't want a United States of Europe.
How can the EU change the European copyright in the direction of the American copyright in this atmosphere? Something what many European country's don't want? A vision what has not any political support in the national parlements? Because Romaine + friends with his Wikimedia wants it? Give me a break!

Re: EU policy/Big Fat Brussels Meeting V
I think that the critical movement need to think through what their reaction is to this sort of thing. Let's assume for the sake of argument, what I believe to be correct, that the whole meetup/chapter/Wikimania thing has multiple objectives. It is true that it is about generating a sense of community and bringing people further into the cult, reinforcing the group mentality. These activities also provide tangible rewards to people who are climbing the greasy pole, with paid-for trips to exotic locations such as London, Mexico City, Brussels and so on. A bit further up are actual paying jobs like Wikipedian-in-Residence, in which you get paid to do the thing which by now you're already addicted to, and for which it really doesn't matter how good your work is so lone as you keep churning it out in sufficient quantity. Next you get a paid job in the chapter, where you sit in an office and pretend to work at things like arranging meetups and edit-a-thons, again pretty undemanding stuff but it pays the rent. I start from the position that all of this stuff is essentially corrupt -- it's payment cult members as something for them to aspire to and keep them in the cult.
But the paradox is this. The more critics like me point this out, the more people we are advertising these corrupt rewards to. That of course is advancing the cause of the cult. The Foundation daren't directly offer corrupt inducements to cult members to stay in line, but it doesn't have to if we, the critics, do that for them. So what to do?

I don't know. I really don't know. WMF is perverse, they reward wrong behavior. They give most times young and naive persons a impossible mission and a free lunch. Implant solutions for American problems as the gender gap in the Dutch society where that problem does't exist. Try to introduce fair use in Europe what is impossible. Here, take the money and collect not free in Europe "knowledge', under a not valid CC license in Europe. Keep everything in a save harbor in America, that wil fix every legal problem..What? Is that a problem? Don't worry, WMF legal fix it for you. We just advocate it's a human right. Gosh!
I have a excellent idea. I start the free hashish mouvement under Dutch law with a chapter in America. No problem, our Dutch lawyers of our mouvement fix every probelm, and we will advocate in the American gouvernement hashish is a human right. We will have international meetings, and you can blow till you drop. And we only talk about free hashish, and if there is any problem you just say hashish in Holland free. Give me please a small donation, two Euro is OK.
The mission of that chapters is impossible, that is the whole point. So, they start one after a other insane projects. Like that Dutch porn female blabla. To fight the gender gap. Meetings, flights, hotels, lunches, everything to solve a problem what didn't exist in Holland. Nobody is interested in there extreem feminism here!. Or in there free source mouvement. It is only supported by just a few fanatics.

Has anyone from nl-WP EVER showed up on this forum to argue with Graaf? Or on Wikipediocracy, or anywhere else?

Perhaps they are not aware of this board's existence. -- after all, why would they be? What steps have been taken to publicise it to Wikimedians and challenge them to participate?

Never. They only try to get me shut up, just like they did on WP-NL and WQ-NL. At the moment I opened my mouth from every corner they started to shout troll, troll trol, you are a troll and they started to troll me out with there sock pupped farm. From the first day on in 2009. Dr. Casper aka CaAL, Dr Dvrmies in his Natuur12 coat, trolling, trolling trolling. The Dr Dvrmies-Ymens-CaAL connection I found here. I was a for a longer time looking for that connection. A "stroopwafel", CaAL, Ymnes, perfect American English an Dutch........... That must be the huge troll Natuur12.
What can they say? It's our human right to troll a older man out with our arbcom commission, because he was right? It is also our human right to use to get to our goals a sock puppet farm and to cyber bullying where we can ? Or our (human) right is to use the donor money to drink in the bar, like Edo wrote me in a email? Because it's our money? The fools.
