Someone made a whole series of these and they are spreading all over Facebook, Twitter and Reddit right now.

Re: The (new, straight-from-scratch) Trump thread
From The Guardian: Republican Senator Jeff Flake quits, makes speech on Senate floor telling Trump "enough."
Flake joins fellow Republican Senator Bob Corker in resigning rather than be in the same government as Donald John Trump.
Quotes of Flake's speech from the article:
.....He then delivered an emotional appeal from the Senate floor against the state of affairs under Trump, bemoaning that his Republican colleagues had “given in or given up on core principles in favor of a more viscerally satisfying anger and resentment”.
“It is time for our complicity and our accommodation for the unacceptable to end,” Flake said. “There are times when we must risk our careers in favor of our principles. Now is such a time.
“We must never allow ourselves to lapse into thinking that that is just the way things are now,” he added. “We must stop pretending that the degradation of our politics and the conduct of some in our executive branch are normal.”
“Reckless, outrageous, and undignified behavior has become excused and countenanced as ‘telling it like it is’ when it is actually just reckless, outrageous, and undignified.”
He said such behavior was “dangerous to our democracy” and projected not strength but a “corruption of the spirit”. He then asked his colleagues: “When the next generation asks us: ‘Why didn’t you do something? Why didn’t you speak up? What are we going to say?’”

Plus let's not forget the magic underwear of Jeff Flake, who probably owes his political career to his fellow Arizona Mormons (and not his policies)

Re: The (new, straight-from-scratch) Trump thread
The lol for today:
http://www.slate.com/blogs/the_slatest/ ... ained.html
And guess what, bunky.....shortly after it was created, regular Trump-hating WP nerds like MelanieN, Ross.smith and KConWiki showed up and expanded it. All of them have fiddled with and fought over Trump-campaign and related articles. Obviously this was being coordinated off-wiki.
No one is waving around the "BLP1E" rule this time, and I would daresay Gates qualifies for it -- at least today. But of course in the happy-Wiki-pseudoleftist-world, Trump Must Be Mocked At All Costs, so the Gates article will survive challenges. Once again Wikipedia makes a display of its political biases and negates its own rules. These particular "leftists" are a joke and an insult to any serious progressive cause.

Gates never attained the public profile of his boss, who became something of a lobbying legend after he founded the firm Black, Manafort, Stone & Kelly in the 1980s. (Until this morning, Gates did not even merit a Wikipedia page.) But, as the indictment makes clear, Gates was intimately intertwined with Manafort’s recent work, serving as a key behind-the-scenes player in the alleged money laundering and as an important cog in Trump’s campaign.

Gates doesn't even get a crappy photograph, so it's still sort of a stub article.
Meanwhile, the BLP on George Papadopoulos, the guy who caved immediately and said he was guilty, was started back in August by an IP, 2601:98A:600:6130:9DAE:7436:418D:2894 which is in Courtdale, a suburb of Kingston, Pennsylvania across the Susquehanna River from Wilkes-Barre. I don't think the IPv6 was Georgie-boy, he lives nowhere near Pennsylvania from what I can tell; possibly paid editing by somebody smart, or the work of a wannabe Wikipedian. Once it was approved, the article was gnomed by 'bots until Halloween Eve and then the dam broke.

Stupid POS:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Links_bet ... _officials
Split off from the "Russian interference" article and rapidly grew. Now 79k bytes of facts mixed with innuendo and "we mighty wikipedians don't like this guy".
I am really starting to wonder about MelanieN. She grinds probably-paid San Diego promotional crap like Beer in San Diego County, California on a daily basis, when she's not complaining at length about Trump and friends. But of course, she's an admin now and cannot be accused of "misconduct". Her talkpage archives are full of "Wiki-Luv" from major WP insiders. Ugh.
Need proof of her COI-friendly attitude? From 2011, just one example of many:

Microbrewing and small-scale wineries have become a big deal in the county, much like how honey production was a big deal during the slack years of the 19th century (San Diego became a near ghost town at points before John D. Spreckels showed up).
It isn't true promotional crap until it is made into a Wikipedia article.....

Re: The (new, straight-from-scratch) Trump thread
Trump Lies 9 Times a Day on Average Lately, Kali Holloway, Alternet
No quotes....
When I started this thread I was hoping Trump would see how hard the job was, realize he was in waaay over his head and quit after a period. Now it's obvious that the only ways out are removal, impeachment, and sudden death.....but the trick is, Trump is succeeding in undermining the GOP and conservatism utterly, and it's fun watching strabismic retards like Paul Ryan and that wizened elf Jeff "Klan did what?!" Sessions deal with the fallout. The downsides are that the ship of state is just floating around unmanned, the economy might implode again, and that Dorito-skinned shitstain might start a nuclear war with Iran or North Korea.

Apparently the Fiji water wiki page was vandalized in honor of Cheetos recently failure to maintain any dignity while taking a simple drink of water.

Josh Fatzick lol
https://www.rawstory.com/2017/11/govern ... d-gorilla/
Fun fact: the ONLY mention on Wikipedia of Fatzick is in the "Koch Industries" article. A Daily Caller rant:
http://dailycaller.com/2015/10/13/four- ... od-profit/
He has done nothing on Daily Caller since early 2016. I bet Tucker Carlson was screaming "GET RID OF HIM I DON'T CARE HOW" after Fatzick became a social-media target.....the "perfect Redditor"?
