Alberto S. Rosales' Humanoid Sighting Database

Post by Stierlitz » Wed Apr 03, 2019 10:53 pm

One of those Internet projects that was later ganked from the Internet because the founder decided to publish it as a book, or in this case, a series of books, Alberto S. Rosales' Humanoid Sighting Reports & Journal of Humanoid Studies took reports from books and online sources of alleged UFO-related "alien" encounters, running through them on a month-to-month, year-to-year basis. What he didn't mention was that until 2009 he also posted his findings to the Independent Researcher's Association of Anomalous Phenomena website. Here are some of his postings, with my commentary:

Location. Between Tamworth & Armidale, New South Wales, Australia
Date: January 4 2008
Time: 2130

The witness, a student, was returning home from Katoomba with his mother, his sister and a young niece and while driving along, no other cars (on the street), (when) a triangle of three red dots appeared overhead and started to move over the sky from east to west and then it started to vibrate and it then flashed blue and was gone. Before it did this he took a photo on his camera phone. Two days later a man in dark clothing (most noticeable of which was a long black trench coat, even though it was summer, and a “Che Guevara” beret) came up to the witness in the street claiming to be from an organization called “Black Stone” and demanded he hand over his phone; when he refused he looked into his eyes and the witness could not move, he reached into his pocket and took his phone. As he walked away the witness found that he was able to move. The triangle shaped craft was estimated to have been a bit bigger than a modern passenger plane.

Commentary: This is the most stock Man in Black encounter I've ever heard of - the out-of-season clothes, using eye hypnosis of some kind to snatch evidence out of a witnesses' hand, showing up to witnesses who kept their sighting private. It seems that there are two kinds of MiBs: the ones who appear to be human and from a government or non-government organization - they use pressure and threats to get the evidence they want, and you know they are US government when the witness winds up at an Air Force base Air Police prison cell being interrogated by two plainclothed men. The "weird" MiBs use hypnotic states, weird body movements, etc., to get their message across. These are the guys driving older, but immaculate cars with no plates or plates that were never issued, or they have clean clothes and shoes even though they are standing in muddy areas, etc. I feel that the humans are using the lore of the "weird" MiBs to give their activities an extra edge, while I have no idea that the "weird" MiBs are: conjectures such as alien-built androids, humans under alien control, aliens in disguise, have been tossed out by various writers. The whole subject is where the paranormal and the para-political meet.

Location. Los Zazos, Tucuman, Argentina

Goat herder, Flores de Mamani, was walking her animals back to her ranch along an isolated hillside when she suddenly felt paralyzed, completely unable to move. She was leaning back against a rock when she saw, a hovering sphere very close to her position. The normally fierce dog, remained quiet and the goats remained very still. A door like opening became visible on the sphere and two little men came out. They wore brown diver's suits, and had what appeared to be backpacks on their backs. The witness attempted to scream but could not. The beings were about 4-feet tall, heavy set and there appeared to be some stripes on their shiny brown suits. They wore helmets with a glass-like visor. She also noticed what appeared to be two antennas coming out of their suits. They seemed to glide just above the ground. The sphere was described as shiny and silvery with several multi-colored lights around it. One of the little men then approached the witness grabbed her arm and tied a rubber hose around it, and then he proceeded to extract blood from the witness arm using a syringe like instrument. She felt no pain. The other little man then preceded to milk one of the goats that remained completely still. Soon the little men glided back to the silvery sphere and went inside. The sphere then shot away at tremendous speed. Below where the sphere floated the ground turned white and nothing grew there for a long time.

Commentary: This case is very much like a combination of two previous cases, a sighting by an Italian woman in the 1950s of a landed spindle-shaped craft and two little space-uniformed men [tights, capes, skullcaps] who spoke a language which sounded pseudo-Chinese, and an early-'60s case of a Brazilian soldier on leave who was abducted by space-suited dwarves who took off their suits inside their "ship", revealing bearded, toothless men who tried to force the soldier into being a spy. He was dumped back in Brazil over a hundred miles from where he was picked up and it was a week later even though his time on-board was just an hour or two. There is also the issue of the ground being "burned" by the hovering craft in the 1990 case; that has also been claimed to happen in other cases. The taking of human blood and goats milk, and the actions of the dog also fit other cases. You will hear of dogs willing to attack Bigfoot, but the minute the creature seems to be an "alien", they will avoid attacking it, either by sitting and growling, or running away in fear. Also, you will notice that many sightings are in rural or semi-rural areas or in parts of cities that are empty due to time of day - UFOs want to be seen by large numbers, but "aliens" on the ground do not.

The Rosales website is here

A case from 2000:

Location. San Francisco, California
Date: January 30 2000
Time: 2315

The witness was hauling up a line of crab traps off Farlon Island with his dog onboard his 25-foot boat. While leaning over the side the dog began barking furiously. The witness looked up and saw a huge triangular shaped object hovering above him, totally silent. Then a beam of white light hit the witness and he fell backwards onto the side of the cabin. Witness grabbed a Rugger 10-22 rifle loaded with a 10 round magazine and started firing at the bottom part of the object. The witness was apparently able to shoot out the light. While grabbing a second clip, he saw a hatch open up on the bottom side of the object and two persons leaned down and yelled "Stop shooting at us you idiot." He also heard a hissing sound resembling air escaping from a flat tire. The object then moved off to the south. A helicopter then appeared and hovered over the boat. The chopper was flat black in color, and it was silent with no markings on it. As the chopper hovered a flash of light was directed towards the boat. He last saw the triangle gaining altitude and disappear towards the south. The helicopter was last seen heading towards the Golden Gate Bridge.

Commentary: This is like a comedy variation of the 1947 Maury Island sighting, without the dark elements of a dog allegedly being killed by ejected slag from a saucer above the boat, the alleged Man in Black threat to witness Harold Dahl afterwards, the Air Force claiming it was a hoax, and the very weird figure of Fred Crisman*. The silent helicopter is also a staple of UFO cases beginning in the 1990s, though actual noisy, normal helicopters have been seen flying around UFOs since the 1970s (look up the 1980 Cash-Landrum sighting.) That the witness was able to take out a spotlight on the craft with a .22 caliber rifle, and two people shouting at the witness to stop shooting, plus the hissing noise makes me think that he was firing at a secret US government vehicle, possibly a large triangular blimp or dirigible, which was a thing that was being discussed by the military in the early 2000s. Possibly they were a lot further along then they were willing to tell the aerospace press. Finally I charged the 100 round magazine Rosales reported to a 10 round magazine, because the witness is reported to be reaching for another clip - the Ruger 10/22 uses a 10 round rotary magazine. Aftermarket 100 round drum magazines were purchasable in the 1990s, but if he didn't take out the light with a few shots, why is he pouring lead into this object? Rosales' reports are full of typos, and the translations of some of the cases from the USSR/ex-Soviet states and Eastern Europe that he has in these collections are bizarre reads.

*Would it surprise the reader that Crisman was involved with Jim Garrison's JFK investigation?
