YTMND may be "gone" but the sub-sites work....

....and I keep finding these sites:

http://letmenotice.ytmnd.com/ This is somebody's brilliant but halfassed mashup of Question Mark and the Mysterians's "96 Tears" with snippets of Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, and (I think) that time the paparazzi chased Tarantino so much he got angry. The problem is that the snippets play over the original lyrics and aren't truly edited in. The photo on the site is a 'shopped version of Gamma Records early-'70s re-release of "96 Tears" for the Mexican market.

http://thisisthe35thbestsiteever.ytmnd.com Take Lemon Jelly's 2002 song "Ramblin' Man", loop Arnold Rimmer doing his stupid salute from Red Dwarf and some odd animation around him, call it a day.

http://baumanletters.ytmnd.com/ Neil Bauman's 2006 emails to YTMND read dramatically by "Boomaga."

More will be found in time.....

Far as I can tell, only the front page was taken down. Their wiki is still operating, and lists loads of pages that all work.

Most of them suck as much as they always did. This was "special"

YTMND was where a lot of very weird autistics and internet shut-ins hung around pushing stuff as far as they could take it within the parameters Max Goldberg laid out. It was their playground, and knowing the internet it will be again. YTMND was never meant for us, it outlived the "Hamster Dance" era of one-shot crappy joke sites, and it was an underground for people who probably smell real bad and dress poorly.

This also reminds me of the extra-stupid-offensive Flash video sites like dickcream.com and cookiethievery.com. Stuff too idiotic even for YTMND. There's an archive of them, but since Flash is "dead" now, you would need to install that miserable Flash plug-in on your browser to see anything.

Somebody using Mark Levin's radio show to jam 3.840 MHz. Billy Crowell, ex-W6WBJ might be behind it, he doesn't transmit anymore.

https://soundboardnonsenseon3840.ytmnd.com/ More '840 boolsheet....

https://fortymetercontesters.ytmnd.com/ Overlapping transmissions on the lower 40 meter band during one of their interminable "contesting" sessions. All lower sideband stuff.

PS: none of the YTMND animations will work under the "Flash Emulator" plug-in for Firefox. Presumably they know about it.

Brave browser displays at least the one with the shortbus and the one with the butts. Plus it has a TOR mode built right in. :^)
