Reddit is still crawling with Wikipedia nerd sock accounts. No idea who most of them are. Far as we will ever know, all the mods of r/showerthoughts could be WP insiders. They ain't talking and things about WP keep disappearing like this.

Voat was always hanging on by its fingernails because the founders were from subs like r/fatpeoplehate and r/Coontown and all the other KKK-wannabes that copied that anti-Black website (case in point: r/N1gg3rs) and that gang were too deep into living the redneck doublewide-trailer lifestyle to have the deep pockets required of running a heavy-use forum website. Reddit had an r/N a z i when I started there a billion years ago.....that vanished shit-quick. We will see if Gab and all these other hard-core Trumpist websites will survive. Seeing as how MAGA is co-morbid with anti-Black, antisemitic, homophobic, xenophobic worldviews I'm guessing not too long.

Why do you judge a huge group of people based on their dwelling type? In my experience and IMO the poor and the trailer dwellers are salt of the earth.

It's always been a part of Reddit's culture to push buttons, and talking nice about hard drugs is part of that. This the same site that had a subreddit called "Pics of Dead Kids", started and run by Michael Brutsch (u/Violentacrez) whom Gawker outed in 2012. Saying "heroin is great for the homeless" is more of that "fuck 'em if they can't take a joke" mentality 4chan and 8kun revel in, where you can't tell if they are being serious or not. Reddit is a giant mess because they gave the moderators so much power early on ("they work for free!") to dodge the necessary human infrastructure in a forum website of that size. In return they mounted an insane war with Ellen Pao for daring to run Reddit when Steve Huffman walked away from the site. It was the perfect environment to run a forum about Donald Trump's campaign and presidency as a weird fascist dictatorship of a website, and then continue that site outside Reddit as the sole freestanding subreddit online.....which is bugfuck insane.

I doubt that it's a fuck em if they cant take a joke attitude. It's a reasonable position for those who are up close and personal with people who are affected by the War On (Americans Who Use) Drugs, i think.

You've all seen the madness that surrounded the recent demise of Parler so I won't repost anything. Just remember: a hacker had API access to its database, and downloaded it just before the site went dead Sunday midnight. I wonder if the users knew how much personal information was in there, and is now presumably in the FBI's hands.
