The above article could/would/will never make it into wikipedia although someone tried (in the edit history of the twitter files);

Hasan Dismantles The Entire Foundation Of The Twitter Files As Matt Taibbi Stumbles To Defend It
For Taibbi what goes around comes around..
People have not figured out that Musk spews "nothing burgers" for PR after breakfast, lunch, and dinner; and his nimrod followers just eat the nonsense up...

Here we have Wikipedia "reporting on itself" for regurgitating musk spew by puking even more muskier spew
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twitter_F ... ia_article

Wikipedia article
Musk accused Wikipedia of "non-trivial left-wing bias" after the Twitter Files article was considered for deletion, replying to screenshots of select users referring to it as "not notable" and a "nothing burger"; however, the final decision was to keep the article.[98][99]
And no, spewing out musk spew on command is not "actual journalism" .. eg. many actual journalists died in Vietnam doing primary source reporting. today folks are programmed to "read and react" to whatever tripe comes their way; musk spew is highly reactive.

Taibbi Still An Establishment Outsider For The Crime Of Actual Journalism (with no mention of him getting Musk-banned)

lol
some fat guy tried to remove the sign on Twitter HQ and the cops showed up

https://www.theverge.com/2023/7/24/2314 ... ion-police

Does this mean, Musk is going to obliterate one of the most valuable brandnames on the internet, just to feed his own ego? So it appears. At least we get to watch all the tragic little Twittoids throwing tantrums as Musk wrecks the place. (I've been told that hundreds of pro-Ukraine accounts were banned this weekend, for no reason and with no explanation.)

Yep, that is exactly what he's doing, and how do people respond? They complain to the city about permits

Think this 'X' rebrand will actually start to peel away users. The site has become a complete mess of spam, bots, and grifters. The only 'anti-Twitter' people who thrive on Twitter nowadays probably aren't unlike the rest of Twitter at this point.

And it's gone!

In one second; a decade + of "online effort" goes poof.

Think about it, most everything "posted or hosted" on the Internet is controlled by a third party of some kind.

Wikipedia (like everything else) is just bytes on the wind...that are subject to loss by whim.. your misplaced effort will blow away like gold dust like the Treasure of the Sierra Madre.

This post was brought to you by X formerly known as Twitter, Ye formerly known as Musk.. and the Artist Formerly Known as Prince.

Only a fool gives substantial copyrightable content to an idiot corporation like Twitter, Meta, Google, etc, regardless of the corporate management's attitudes. Corporations change, boards of directors are purged, people are fired and hired blah blah. Profit maximization remains the primary goal. To hell with your precious content.

By now people should have realized this and gotten their own web hosting (and taken responsibility for it). Oh, but OF COURSE, it's so much "easier" to let a social media startup "handle the hard work". And years later they whine when it disappears. Suckers.

Early on I was hoping this drama might trigger a mass return to blogs, forums and imageboards, but instead it's just ended up letting Facebook (I mean "Meta," fuck that) secure a greater monopoly on online communication. Modern internet users (especially phonesuckers) are just that fucking addicted to purely consumptive experience of automatically suggested content. No one "browses" the internet anymore: they eat it. On the other end, content generation on platforms like tik tok is no longer an innocent pass time or hobby, but has returned to being a form of labour, and one ripe with abuses at that. Wikipedia is a little behind the times in this respect, especially in the experience of the editor. But for readers, everything about Vector 2022 and Minerva is meant to appeal to their fetish for passivity. Can these users, willingly and avoidably zombifying themselves, really complain when the platforms they use become centres for propaganda and mental contagion?
Editing Wikipedia is not a substitute for being a person.

There is a large number of pre-Musk people who have made plans to relocate to Bluesky if X/Twitter collapses and they are riding the shambles until it finally crashes. I think a lot of people using Crap Twitter are waiting for Musk to quit and sell the site to somebody else, and you know if that happens, all the well-known formerly banned people will be re-banned.
Still "Globally Banned" on Wikipedia for the high crime of journalism.
