Ebay gets nasty with critics

Post by suckadmin » Tue Jun 16, 2020 9:19 pm

Six former senior eBay employees have been charged with waging an extensive campaign to terrorize and intimidate the editor and publisher of an online newsletter with threats and disturbing deliveries to their home, including live spiders and cockroaches, federal authorities said on Monday.

As I've said before, eBay is NOT your little friend or companion in any dealings on their site. They've done a pretty good job of cleaning past scandals off the web, so you can't Google most of their real history. SOME of it is listed in this Wikipedia article, which is constantly fought over. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Criticism_of_eBay

The story shows how the eBay company deals with prominent public critics, going right back to their beginnings in 1995. If the "Security" team gets caught, the company simply fires them and gets a new CEO, and says "oops, sorry, this has been dealt with already". That's exactly what they did in this case. But goes right back to the same practices. Also note that one of the eBay employees behind it is a former Santa Clara Police captain.....

Also, if you want to see the dirt I've got on eBay founder Pierre Omidyar, email me directly off-list. It includes a notorious 2013 report by Mark Ames that has been completely scrubbed from the web.

Omidyar also bought himself a "shill" seat on the Wikimedia Board of Trustees--possibly so he could get his Wikipedia coverage "purified". That's why I have this information, it was saved as notes for the book.

(Do NOT be surprised if this harassment case is not listed in any Wikipedia article. Ever. One of Wikipedia's most trusted administrators, Josh Gordon, is watching the eBay-related articles VERY carefully. Josh was "Chief Engineer" at eBay in their early days. Apparently he cashed in his stock options and became very wealthy. Ask me about Josh sometime. You won't believe his story.)

Started a new thread about Josh's censorship. Like to see them deny this.
