What is so nice about old broken Apple laptops?

Image

They have 2 small loudspeakers with extreem strong magnets!

Image

Because I needed one.

Image

Why? For this beauty in mind condition from the late 80's. It was still in the box, and the man who sold it to me had 150!!!. Brand new LGB locs. He is 70 and had collected them for years.
And I wanted a green one behind my postwagon. and because he loved the RC project so much I got it real cheap. But now I have six RC trains, it is fine for me.
Because I want to move one with the rails and scenery.

gender desk lady wrote:I’m not sure what all the circuitry is for. Part of it is probably for the lights, but I don’t know why they would need all those chips just for lights.

No dear gender lady, the circuitry is to let the train drive. There is a connection between the post wagon and the loc. (Can be better.) In most locs there is simple no room for the battery and circuits, it is old fashion analog stuff from the 80's and 70's. I know about this stuff and vacuum tubes, but nothing about modern electronics, and the boards are made by me years ago for a other purpose.

It is a pity with all that fantastic modern electronics analog technology is complete forgotten, but both Eric and I are still using it professional. Eric vacum tubes, and I stuff the 70's and 80's. And this are the left overs I am using now in this train, it is a kind of cleaning up.

One thing I wonder about though. Where does she pee?

And that pie of her, I think she has to wait till the next stop. And a pity you evil twin is not able to understand what I am writing because the same always happend to me on WPNL. And yes, if you don't understand what someone is writing is the best thing to do to mute him, ask WMF with the Romaine Brussels fiasco. Romaine and his mates where at least easy to understand, take whatever you want and declare it to free content in Europe under the American legalisation. Easy to understand, isn't it?
If I don't understand what someone is writing it must be nonsens, so mute him, it is what has made wikipedia big!

I love how you salvaged magnets from a Macbook, I would never have thought to look for magnets in a computer, but of course, the speakers. :)

She went behind a concrete block, and two friends shielded her, but the police came and arrested her.

No, dear gender lady, she was not arrested, she got a fine of 90 euro, for the simple reason it is forbidden to pie in the streets of Amsterdam. And the discussion was not about that fine, but about the fact there are not enough lady toilets. And I explained you before the problem is architectonic in the middle aged towns in Europe because for the simple reason woman toilets need more room, what is not there. Or is this also to hard to understand?

The goal is to build it up out of junk. So, al the wires are old printer cables I have split up, the trains are most times broken stuf nobody wants or parts are missing, etc. My best friends are old, big D-sub connectors with a lot of pins, because you can cut them to small parts with the pin number you need. You can find them on every old computer board and printer cable.
I work from the other side, what do I still have in stock and how can I use it. There is no plan, there never was, I just build with the stuff what I get in my hands. And I am very curies myself what will be the result at the end.

Good for you! In an age of smartphone worshipping and Instagram whores, you are building something with your own hands via improvisation. Most young people will not have any understanding of this, it is ALIEN to them.

Thats true, Eric. And something what worries me. Bad, The End, and you and me had toy trains, and in that way we learned. We did not only play, but build we build kits of houses, airplanes, etc, used our fantasy. We built soapbox cars, we played, learned to use tools.

And now a days? Games, games and again games. Games without any fantasy of them.
And what I see is, kids like this stuf, but they don't want to have it. Craft people like you and me? There will not any anymore in the future.

I think they get mad when they see this, but I found just the two boards I need for the smoke generator! (The two at the right side in the box.) Old stuff I build years ago, left in a box.

O, and I have good news for the gender desk lady!

Image

Yes, I have three wagons with a unisex toilet! But I have to spray them. I just putted the toilet there, but yes, it will be in place later!

This is a much better of spending my Sunday.
Fuck of, bunch of wikifools, what else can I say. Buy your one beer the next time, taste much better.

Creators? Article 13 a treat for creators? You bloody fools don't even know what the words to create means!

So, the chassis is ready.

The lights are working, and I get the puls I need for the sound and the smoke generator. You see the blue led lighting and you hear the reed relais so the old macbook magnet has started his second life. Just like the five volt regulator out of a old cd board for the lights. All junk, all old stuff.

And Guido was absolute right, why should I spend one minute to improve Wikipedia? I understand very, very well De Kolonel is trolling day and night on wikipedia to destroy it, but I want to do something more positieve. Because I know for sure later thousands of people are looking to my work with there kids, just like they are doing now in Christmas time. Or tens of thousands, just like hundreds of thousands of people where glad with my Greece articles.

I tell you for once and for always that wiki emperor is naked. I have seen that from the first moment on and that was the reason they called me a troll from that same first moment on and trolled me out with that SanFanBan.
You simple can't democratize what is not yours, that's Romaine nonsense, it is the same as proletarian shopping what was so populair in the hippie communes, shopping without paying.

And that was the only thing I was claiming, but if you do so you are a cat between the wiki mouses in wiki land. They troll you out.
You have to create my friends, not to collect. But most of you unfortunately have simple no idea what creating is, and that is the real problem.

Baby light my fire, a old locomotive needs a coal fire, isn't it, but how to create this?.

Image

Take two of these "tea lights" and cut a series of colored Christmas tree lights in pieces and take a old piece of circuit board.
And a few resisters and a mini drill.

Image

Real looking fire with real flames.

Image

No difference with a real fire. You should be afraid to to touch it with your finger.

Glad I am not Drmies who has to enter his class room Monday and just can spend my time on building toy trains.
Because for sure his students are reading here everything about there Dutch wikipedia professor. And mabey even his colleagues........
