Because Tumblr decided to wipe out pornblogs, the kids are going to Instagram (do they let porn on Instagram? I'm not hip to the jazz....but I'm not so GD desperate to get my images on to the Internet to give a middling shit) or newer places like pillowfort.io (still in beta, will probably get all picture porny very quickly when the doors completely open) or some other joint online that will host stills or gif loops of nudes, dickgirls, fisting and speculum play, bears plowing twinks, fat-assed black chicks twerking nude, the soon-to-be-dead obese humping and National Socialist furries fuckin'.....because that was the sort of stuff I saw on Tumblr, and any site that hopes to get popular will have to fill Tumblr's massive shoes.
Still "Globally Banned" on Wikipedia for the high crime of journalism.

Yeah the Tumblr purge is causing incredible shitstorms--ones we rarely see or hear about, because so much Tumblr content is embarrassing. Not just straight photographic amateur porn, but weird fetishes and furry/wacko cartoons with genitals on full display. It's sad that they killed the fascist gay (I kid you not!) furry porn Tumblr in 2017--it existed for more than TWO YEARS before someone at HQ noticed it. Wish I'd saved screenshots. It was truly disgusting.

I said on my blog that I could do a whole 'nother blog about Instagram crap and idiocy. This item was also quite disgusting.

Five years ago, Horseshoe Bend saw only a thousand visitors in a year. But this year, over 4,000 people a day have come to see the bend, take selfies at the rim, and dangle their feet over the exposed edge. All this traffic has put a lot of strain on the attraction, or at least its parking lot. So on November 6, construction began on new parking amenities and a platform at the canyon’s edge complete with railing and signs to safely handle all the new visitors. Once complete, the bend will be a perfect tourist attraction with great parking, water, and shade. But the wild beauty that brought so many here in the first place will be gone.

Social media gets blamed for everything — but this time, it really is Instagram’s fault. Horseshoe Bend’s home, Glen Canyon Natural Recreation Area, also has the nation’s second tallest dam, boating paradise Lake Powell, and the world’s tallest natural bridge, Rainbow Bridge. It’s also littered with dinosaur fossils. But it is Horseshoe Bend that has captured the tourist hivemind. On IG, #glencanyon has only been used about 26,000 times, whereas #horseshoebend has 226,000 posts. Its geotag had over 200 posts in the last 24 hours as of this writing, while only one person geotagged Glen Canyon. The geotag for Rainbow Bridge hasn’t been used since Halloween.

Why Horseshoe Bend? Simple, the simpletons love to take "shoe selfies", and the cliff there is perfect. And every year one or two morons falls off the cliff and dies. We literally don't know how often it happens because the National Park Service is loath to publish data. But I will bet you the number has been increasing since it became "hip" around 2015.

I remember seeing the bend in the 1970s--the trail was barely visible, there was no parking lot, and I was alone. Today it's mobbed every day between April and October, and busy thru the winter. Ruined.
