Both transmitters are under 200 miles from each other and the DPRK racket circuit does an excellent job of obliterating whatever the southerners are saying as far west as Phoenix, AZ.

Another recording from Earthstation1 dot com's AFVN TV and Radio page. Some guy temporarily takes over the regular's "Capsule Countdown" of the hit songs of the week [this seems to be a segment from the famous "Dawn Buster" show]. All the songs seem to date from 1968, so that must be when this was recorded, probably off the AFRVN FM transmitter (wherever that was.) Hilarity results.

A recorded part of the massive US Army/ARVN "Chieu hoi" Psywar program, reminding soldiers to not kill or hurt surrendering NLF ("Viet Cong") or North Vietnamese Army soldiers if they came forth hands up with a "Chieu hoi" leaflet in his hand. Program lasted from 1967-73. "Chieu hoi" = "Open Arms", with an understanding of no POW camps for a surrendering soldier. [I screwed up, there is no AFVN station ID.]
