If that was the case then Wikipedia and wiki in general might as well just shut down since no Idea on there is supposed to be original research on there. I you want to create a wiki i would pick a topic your interested in and invite people to participate. If you get some banned or blocked editors from Wikimedia then great, but i woukdnt assume that.

The original research clause is another wikipedia specific rule that doesnt necessarily apply to other wikis. There are other ways to manage scope and quality that can be applied. I would argue that in some cases, WP:OR holds Wikipedia back.
