Leucosticte finally made it!

AKA Nathan Larson. One of Wikipedia's craziest editors.
He made the front page of Reddit today, July 4 2018. After 10+ years of chasing publicity.

Of course, it wasn't a very nice post....

There's some irony in those labels all being allied to one person, since they aren't exactly compatible. Indeed, they are arguably all mutually exclusive. An incel hates women because they won't sleep with them. Misogynists are usually married. White Supremacists worship their women, who are in turn happily subjugated by their menfolk, kill paedophiles and would see incels as pussies. Paedophiles aren't interested in adult women, not for sex or mysogyny, and are inclined to try and have their desires normalised and accepted by society, not try to start a violent uprising against the normals. It's very hard to make a case that even two of those labels are natural bedfellows, if you'll excuse the word choice.

We're not talking "compatible" here, we're talking about Nathan Larson.

Do it, they need to know the disgusting truth of this insane looney.

And happy 4th of July!
Still "Globally Banned" on Wikipedia for the high crime of journalism.

Well, now that Independence Day is over, it's time to do the REAL story. All of it.

Nathan Larson

Known as Tisane (T-C-F-R-B) on Wikipedia, and later by hundreds of sockpuppet accounts. Larson spent time in Federal prison [1] and was thence under court-ordered psychotherapy, for "making terroristic threats" online.

Larson ran for Congress in Virginia in 2008 as the Libertarian candidate, and failed (oddly enough). And he tried again in 2018. His biography was previously deleted from Wikipedia, forwarded to the campaign article. Since he was now "notable", in June his biography was recreated by crank Wikipedia editor Yngvadottir. See below.

From the 15 November 2010 appellate court decision on his sentence:

"Appellant Nathan Daniel Larson pled guilty to one count of making threats against the President of the United States in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 871(a). The Appellate Case: 09-1465 Document: 01018532419 Date Filed: 11/15/2010 district court sentenced him to a term of sixteen months imprisonment, followed by three years supervised release with a special condition Mr. Larson participate in a mental health treatment program, including taking all medications prescribed by his treating psychiatrist. Mr. Larson appeals the imposition of the special condition, contending the district court committed plain error by requiring he take any prescribed medications. We exercise jurisdiction under 18 U.S.C. § 3742(a) and 28 U.S.C. § 1291 and affirm."

such a nice young man

history

His first Wikipedia account, Sarsaparilla (T-C-F-R-B), appeared in November 2007. He obsessed over conflict resolution, then later over the United Nations. It didn't take long for him to start arguing with others. He seemed to enjoy taunting the Wikipedians with his brand of libertarian extremism. The account was permablocked in February 2008. Sarsaparilla was also the subject of a very angry Sockpuppet investigation.

His second alleged account, Absidy (T-C-F-R-B), appeared the day after Sarsaparilla was blocked and was itself blocked with 24 hours.

Another account, Ron Duvall (T-C-F-R-B), appeared on 14 February 2008 and was blocked on 23 February. Successive accounts became more and more bizarre. Leucosticte (T-C-F-R-B) was permabanned in July 2012. Larson has similarly-named accounts on a variety of other WMF projects, most still not blocked as of 2016.

Tisane showed up on Wikipedia in February 2010, and spent the next week obsessively working on articles associated with threats against the US President, as well as other aspects of federal criminal law and the probation system. Soon he was writing about child pornography[2] and fighting with others. Arbcom banned the Tisane account in August 2010. (Full examination of what happened is impossible, as there are links (one listed here[3]) that have completely disappeared from Wikipedia's database. This appears to be another instance of Wikipedia being censored to cover something up.)

Quote: "Tisane may have been "productive", but his editing was biased at best and alarming at worst. Fences&Windows 21:48, 31 January 2012 (UTC)"

He was banned from RationalWiki in August 2012 for advocating sex with children.[4][5]

On 1 March 2014, an IP address attempted to report the continued presence of Larson on WMF projects, as "Leucosticte (T-C-F-R-B)". The report was censored by Philippe Beaudette, for "outing". [6] "I miss Sue Gardner. She had a clear stance on pedophilia. Philippe apparently doesn't care about pedophilia and would rather protect the reputations of pedophilia's apologists. I guess dealing with paid editors is far more important to Philippe than dealing with pedophilia. According to Jimbo and the WMF, thekohser is more evil than pedophiles." Larson also started to write articles about the same subjects on Meta, and was soon banned therefrom.

As noted in Ludwig Von Mises Institute, Larson has links with the Von Mises crowd, and is a high-ranking bureaucrat on the Mises website's wiki.

Taking Wikipedia to its logical conclusions

From MZMcBrides talk page, 4 March 2012 "He argues that children need to be set free and that:

"Children are basically in the same position that women, blacks, etc. were in many years ago of having severely abridged property, contractual, sexual, etc. rights. .. The state, of course, loves situations in which one group of society is being subjugated under another."

He makes the telling point that Wales's worldview has never incorporated truly radical pro-liberty sentiments. As a result, his defense of freedom only went halfway. We needn't stop where he left off, though; we can take that philosophy to its logical conclusions.

MZM replies: "No new essays, hopefully no new multi-paragraph posts, no more discussion of this from you. Drop it and move along. If you decide to ignore this advice, you'll be banned. If you decide to heed this advice, you may still be banned, but there's a slightly lower chance of it. As Abd notes on your talk page, you're sticking your finger in sockets. Of course that will have consequences. -- MZMcBride (talk) 04:22, 4 March 2014 (UTC)"

And on his talk page

"The people who are neutral or opposed to adult-child sexual relationships don't necessarily have an interest in making sure that the articles on those topics are unbiased, so I doubt that they will typically take the time to add content covering dissident views. For one thing, if they were to add that content, they could be accused of "expressing the view that inappropriate relationships are not harmful to children" and be kicked off Wikipedia. Even if that didn't happen, someone could eventually do to them the same thing that was done to Erik Möller — that is, someone could comb through the person's edits and pick out those few as grounds for making accusations against the person, so as to cast aspersion upon him. Why would they want to take such risks for the sake of making sure that Wikipedia gives due weight to a viewpoint they don't even agree with?"

2014

May: he offers nude photos of his wife (or someone he claims to be his wife) to Commons under a free license. [7][8][9] He had already posted numerous photos on one of his many personal wikis. And a complaint about it on Wikimedia-l results in a gang of Commons trolls attacking the complainant. Ultimately they did not take him up on his "kind offer".

Also, he wrote a suicide note on his website on 18 May. He also owns suicidewiki.org, started in 2010 and last updated May 17. He did not manage to kill himself.

"I, Nathan Larson, am writing this note to confirm that I did indeed purposefully kill myself, and to explain the reasons why. The main reason is that I am bored; I perceive that there is nothing this life has to offer that holds my interest enough that I feel it would be worth continuing to live. I see little enough prospect of a change in circumstances bringing about a change in this state of affairs that I think it would be pointless to wait around. The costs would likely outweigh the benefits, in my opinion."
"I think that the best option I had for achieving a life I would find enjoyable and useful enough to meet my standards would have been to create Inclupedia, a wiki encyclopedia that would have mirrored and supplemented Wikipedia. I didn't feel like creating it alone, though; I wanted a co-founder. Since I couldn't find a suitable person for that role, I gave up and decided to kill myself. The options of returning to the corporate world or taking up a trade also seemed infeasible. I failed to rise to managers' performance expectations in my accounting career and every other job I've held, although they often found me pleasant enough to work with. I simply wasn't able, or didn't want, to stay focused, organized, etc. I lack the practical sense, technical acumen, or social skills needed to succeed as an electrician, IT professional, or other kind of tradesman; and at any rate those careers bore me, so I'd be unlikely to put forth the effort needed to succeed. I thought of becoming a househusband, but I would probably get bored with that as well."
"I'm tired of being a pawn in life; I wanted to be a more major piece, with more options to move around and do interesting stuff. The one chance I saw for a substantial promotion (viz. to rich and/or famous founder of an Internet company) didn't pan out. So, much as I would walk out of a movie I found extremely dull, I decided to walk out of this tedious life. My life seems to have gotten more, rather than less, boring in recent years, as the wikisphere has gone downhill and I've grown increasingly marginalized from, and unable to participate fully in, some of the most important wiki communities."
"Also, the sexual life that I want to lead has been declared by the government to be felonious. I have sexual desires for children, which in the past was a moot point because I had no access to any I found attractive, and no reason to expect that I ever would. That was probably going to change if I continued living, because I was going to have children with my wife, August. I don't think I would have been willing and able to resist having sex with, and impregnating, them (if they were girls and they consented), and I didn't want to put myself at risk of going to prison. So, all in all, suicide sounded like the best option. "

In June, he posted the following on his Commons account. By this time all his personal wikis had been taken down, for reasons unknown.

"Moot point, now. All those wikis have been permanently taken down. Leucosticte (talk) 12:51, 19 June 2014 (UTC)"

"Can't say that I'm sad to see them go, given the subject matter of one or two of those wikis (sorry, but I don't share your beliefs). What will you do now? Perhaps you should see this as relief or a chance to start over. Have you found or tried finding happiness outside of wikis and ideological struggles? Perhaps it time to settle down and think about friends and family instead of politics. I'm tired of fighting one lost battle after another; I've returned to simpler things. --Michaeldsuarez (talk) 01:12, 21 June 2014 (UTC)"

"Mostly I anticipate doing what I stated at mw:User:Leucosticte, viz. "working menial retail jobs, doing a few household chores, and possibly helping my wife raise a family." Oh, and asking and answering Quora questions. I do a small amount of web maintenance work for the Libertarian Party of Virginia, and occasionally write a newsletter article. That's about it, for now."
"Maybe when my wife starts feeling up to it, we'll go out and do more (attend board game and movie meetups, visit museums, etc.) She might run for office next year or the year after, and we might start up a local Libertarian Party affiliate. Meanwhile, she'll probably continue escorting (although she briefly considered stripping). I had originally hoped that the two of us were going to work on Inclupedia together, but programming turned out not to be her cup of tea. Leucosticte (talk) 01:31, 21 June 2014 (UTC)"

"Sounds like you two have a lot of good things ahead of you, but if your spouse has trouble with a client, be sure to comfort her. --Michaeldsuarez (talk) 15:27, 21 June 2014 (UTC)"

"Actually, she's dumping me as of today and heading back to Colorado to live with her parents again, as soon as she gets a night's rest. Then she's planning on getting a divorce after we've been separated for six months. So, I revise my statement above about "possibly helping my wife raise a family" to "paying a few hundred dollars a month in child support to my wife". However, by 2033, I should be totally free from that burden. Maybe I'll still help the kid out when I can, though, even after that, if he turns out to be, in my judgment, someone who's worth investing resources in."
"I doubt that I'll ever date again. Part of the problem is, even if you try to be upfront with the person about what kind of person you are, what your values are, what you want, etc., and they say they're cool with it, they can still change their mind after you've made some irrevocable commitments to the relationship. Then you have to either yield and let them have their way, or they leave. The path I want to walk in this life, or feel that I have to walk in order to be true to myself, I have to walk alone, because people will always be calling on me to relinquish my principles as a condition of further association (even when I made clear from the beginning what I stood for and what my intentions were). Leucosticte (talk) 22:51, 21 June 2014 (UTC)"

Meanwhile, he continued to try to grind Wikipedia and Commons with a host of sockpuppets.

2015

Ironically, despite having edited the "global ban list", Larson's Leucosticte account was added to it on 17 January.

Yet the socking continued. [10][11]

Also in 2015, Larson sued for custody of his infant daughter -- which resulted in the disturbing report "When dad is a pedophile". In which is it revealed that the daughter's birth mother was transgender, and committed suicide shortly after the birth.

2016

Tarantino reports on WO (Sun Aug 28, 2016 2:33 am):

"Boilingorangejuice (T-C-F-R-B) - his interests include suicide and child pornography. Compare with the SanFran banned user Leucosticte."
"For some reason, he remains unrecognized after eight months."

The account is globally locked by the foundation, about five hours after the thread was started.
Katherineamy-account-Tisane.jpg

And oddly enough, the socking continued:

"01:09, 19 September 2016 ****** blocked Scheduling conflict (talk | contribs) with an expiration time of indefinite (account creation blocked) (Abusing multiple accounts: You're banned, Tisane) (unblock | change block)"

" 01:08, 19 September 2016 ****** blocked Hitotsume (talk | contribs) with an expiration time of indefinite (account creation blocked) (Abusing multiple accounts: You're banned, Tisane) (unblock | change block)"

Amongst the priceless information he posted using these accounts:

"An infant simulator is a robotic baby that is used to raise awareness of young teenagers about the realities of caring for a young child. An example is the RealCare baby, formerly known as Baby Think It Over. An Australian study found that girls who participated in a virtual infant parenting program were more likely to become pregnant by their early 20s. [12]"

2017

Not surprisingly, Larson became involved in the "men's rights" movement, and began to post items on Roosh V's "Return Of Kings" website. Discussed here.

He continued to sockpuppet on Wikipedia. [13]

2018

Having decided to run for Congress, Nathan soon drew some actual publicity. Not very nice publicity, mind. [14][15][16][17] His campaign statement, posted on his website and later archived, was "a bit on the extreme side", shall we say.

It hit the front page of Reddit on July 4 2018. Even the usually-berserk subreddit r/the_donald had reasonable things to say about Larson.
