Olivet University, the unnoticed editwar

Read this first. It's long, bizarre, and unbelievable.

What does it have to do with Wikipedia? Easy--all the articles associated with Olivet University and Dr. David Jang (and his mysterious empire) are being manicured by a succession of sockpuppets. Said empire "allegedly" includes the International Business Times. I always wondered if IBT was some kind of complicated clickbait factory. And now it includes the remains of Newsweek magazine.

This is only a quick sampling of the most obviously-questionable accounts:

Only found one SPA so far. Prob. others, but they do not make this easy to find. Mostly revolves around the ongoing glorification of Jaerock Lee.

This one is just weird.

This is literally the ONLY noticeboard item I could find about the Olivet/Jang business--Doug Weller complaining (and being ignored). FAIL.

International Business Times was edited by a few similar socks, but is otherwise developing in the usual way. Talkpage is the usual: pro-IBT idiots fighting with Wiki-insider idiots.

"Funny" how the Unification Church keeps coming up as an "associated subject", eh?
