WPO talks about the AI storm

Started June 2, long before the "Simple Article Summary" explosion. Merged from two different threads.

Note that the infamous ScottishFinnishRadish said:
I've actually done a fair amount of experimenting around this using chatgpt 4.5. You can upload sources, PDFs work better than text for some reason, and tell it to only use them. It does a fair job of summarizing them together and providing the actual quotes and pages. I assume it would be able to do the same if you were able to provide all the sources in an article and ask it about facts in an article.

The biggest issue I've encountered is that it synthesizes quite a bit, which isn't really a bad thing unless you're specifically working on Wikipedia stuff.
Thus the snake eats its own tail. Whooo.

Notice how much space they spent blubbering about Wales's ugly shirt. Idiots.
