For those people saying "huh?", Iron Liz was Linkara's (Lewis Lovhaug) girlfriend and like him, was involved with Doug Walker's Channel Awesome (formerly That Guy With The Glasses) Internet reviewer aggregator website, the people who gave us Lindsay Ellis, Todd in the Shadows, Brad Jones (The Cinema Snob), Allison Pregler (Obscurus Lupa), Phelan Porteous and many, many others. Most of them were doing movie and video-game reviews; Linkara did comic-books and Liz would appear in sketches within Linkara's video reviews, and she would later submit her own work. It has to be explained that Liz was transitioning into being a woman early into Linkara's tenure at CA/TGWTG, and Liz's period of involvement both with Lovhaug and Walker's site ended nearly a decade ago. So it's just bizarre listening to this person on YouTube speak highly of Mister Metokur and GamerGate this year and talk about it with Jason Pullara in 2014.

Now I found CA through Noah Antweiler eleven years ago, thought the site was a mess, but thought that some of the reviewers were interesting and I follow the ones still making stuff. I had read all the nasty things that Encyclopedia Dramatica had written about all of them, including Lewis Lovhaug's probable bisexuality. What is insane about all of this is Liz (and I still don't know her last name!) seemed to be the most level-headed person in that group beyond Brad Jones, and now I perceive the forest of crazy lurking beyond the tall fence.

Bonus: Here is her Twitter feed where she re-tweets Stephen Molyneux (right-wing dingbat) and says things like "the middle class is the new working class."

I'm told that some of the Dramatica stuff was was written by disgruntled Channel Awesome employees/friends.....of which there are many now....some are even listed on the ED article.

That's some mean and petty shit. But as usual; it contains more than a modicum of truth. One of them was involved in the Colony Drop squabble on WP. And is now the executive editor of Anime News Network. Everywhere you look under this rock, you will find Gamergate fuckery. It's dramah of a sort, but extremely nerdy and unfunny.
