The wikipedia critiques
Re: The wikipedia critiques
The Reguyla Situation
Mr Lomax and Mr Davenport point out that Kumioko had another account -- Reguyla.
I don't know much about this. Kumioko's story is long, convoluted and almost impossible to understand.
Was Kumioko a sock of Reguyla, or vice versa? Did the gentleman change his username, perhaps? I don't know.
All I really know is that Kumioko is a respectable individual employed by the US Military in Washington DC.
Forum Etiquette
I purposely omitted socks when writing the opening post. Some people are quite sensitive about their socks.
The mighty Oracle from Oregon may remember a time when Dennis Brown stomped on a journalist. The incident was discussed at length over on WPO. Apparently the journalist turned up on Wikipedia and invited users to forward tales of woe. But when the journalist was asked to provide professional credentials, he clammed up.
Tim, CrowsNest and I know who the journalist was, but it would be poor etiquette to take things further.

Re: The wikipedia critiques
It is getting every minute more mysterious. Any, first you open this topic without any context and filled op with errors, Timmy repeated it, and we have made very, very clear we see the Kum situation and special the endless story's as not wished on this forum.
Why don't you guys just go all back to WO instate of constant shitting the place here? For what purpose? Other than trolling of course.

The Copyvio Situation
The illustrious Graaf Statler writes:
So what? Who cares about copyvio?
Authentic photography
Here's an FA I wrote about a cannon in Penang:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seri_Rambai
And here's the photo I took to illustrate the article. I took it early in the morning with a very expensive Leica. I'm quite pleased with it.

The Truth
This blog is written by a Singaporean dude:
http://escapesfromthelittlereddot.com/p ... and-makan/
Notice his photo:

The truth -- continued
As you can see, I photoshopped someone else's photo. I then claimed it as my own and stuck it on a WMF server. So what? Who cares? For the record, I did this several times.
Graaf -- stop worrying about copyvio. Here on Sucks, we ought to be able to relax a bit and own up to our "misdemeanors".

Yes, you do seem terribly confused.
But not to worry. Why not logout for a week or so and concentrate on your train sets.
Have a nice day!

Re: The wikipedia critiques
Leica is great! Great pictures, Any.
And I am afraid there is a misunderstanding occurred what I simple don't get clear, I worry not at all about copyright on Wikipedia. And I even don't worry about that strange SanFanBan. And I also not worry about the Arbcom elections. Let them just all fuck themself with there goofy trollopedia, not my money, I have never give them penny. I am not Kum, I am not interested in trails like Abd. The river is wide and all bridges are burning, thats all!
I see this forum as the Decamerone. We are fled here for the wikipest and tell each other or to who wants to read iit story's. And, well, sometimes the wikipest tries to get in here, and then we kick them simple out again with or without rubber stamp.
Life here is much relaxed than on WP, Any, it doesn't give me any stress. But still it is complete unclear where this topic is about but I think I don't mind.

I don't think it's difficult to understand, his behavior is well within normal human.Anyone wrote:The Reguyla Situation

No, the username was not changed. And if it were, you could know. Logs, you know. Was Kumioko a sock of Reguyla, or vice versa? Did the gentleman change his username, perhaps? I don't know.
I don't know that, but I also don't know the contrary. Kumioko seems reasonably affable and seems to have learned to not feed the trolls and let others address insults. If he'd learned that years ago, he might still be editing Wikipedia. Not that it would necessarily be a better outcome. All I really know is that Kumioko is a respectable individual employed by the US Military in Washington DC.
. If you were researching Kumioko on Wikipedia you'd presumably see that User:Kumioko redirects to Reguyla. He did not rename, he started a new account. If it's disclosed that is completely legitimate.Anyone wrote:Forum Etiquette

Kumioko did a lot of socking way back, and many socks were apparently openly him (there is a Kumioko SPI archive), but I've learned to be suspicions of such socks. Yes, they could be him, but anyone who wants to attack him could also create a sock like "KumiokoIsGreat" and increase the impression of a Really Disruptive User. But Reguyla was disclosed and permitted to edit. There is no Reguyla SPI archive. So the Wikipedia accounts are:
(The older accounts will redirect to the third, but then you can click on the "Redirected from" link to get to the original user page.)
User:Kumioko
User:KumiokoCleanStart -- with another 35,000 edits.

Are there other tools out there?
PS. This article of yours could easily be tweaked, edited, developed, and made into something pretty good:

Re: The wikipedia critiques
So just to summarize the accounts very quickly. Not including the thousands of socks and IP's used:
First account:Kumioko~ 79000 edits
Renamed to:Kumioko (renamed) ~ 320,000 edits
Renamed to:KumiokoCleanStart ~ 36,000 edits
Then started using Reguyla, which is the account I was using on Wikia at the time and continue to use there.
I also had a bot for a short time, Kumitaskbot which has a few thousand.
Alltogether, on the English Wikipedia I have something like 600, 000 edits.
Commons I have about another 400, 000.
The numbers come up a bit short I think due to the namechanges, maybe some were deleted and not reflected, not really sure, but this helps to show that I was in fact a very high output editor prior to my bullshit ban.
And a few thousand more on others like Simple Wikipedia, Wikidata, etc. Not counting the other stuff I did like migrating most of the AWB tickets to Phabircator, had I not done, would probably still be on the AWB talk page. Created the Discord server; and on and on.
This in part, is why the whole notion of my ban for "NOT HERE" is utter nonsense and those who initiated it should have been laughed out of the project. They weren't, because it was an excuse to silence a critic, simply as that.

Abd wrote:he refused to shut up when it was quite clearly causing more harm than good
You were not banned for NOTHERE, that is just a crucial element of your pathetic victim narrative. You were banned by the en.wiki community nominally for being a persistently disruptive twat, a decision that nominally takes full cognisence of positive contributions, as any critic knows. Whatever reason the Foundation used to globally ban you, it clearly wasn't for NOTHERE, but more likely for sending harassing emails containing this pathetic victim narrative.Kumioko wrote:This in part, is why the whole notion of my ban for "NOT HERE" is utter nonsense and those who initiated it should have been laughed out of the project. It harms you, because yet again I can call you a delusional fucking nutjob, and you can't say shit in reply without confirming it (so usually you'd ignore it).
It harms Wikipedia criticism to not tell you to kindly fuck off and take your victim narrative elsewhere, because there are people out there who have genuinely been a victim of the misapplication of NOTHERE, and if they see that we don't stomp on people like this, they will think we don't know what we're talking about, and therefore cannot help them. Nobody seeks out the assistance of retards, or looks up to them, in a fight for what is right.
All that remains is for Abd to stop defending it as normal human behaviour. It is not normal, and it SURE AS SHIT isn't what a serious Wikipedia critic would be doing. It's what a whiny little bitch does.
