Over at Sucks, Guido den Broeder indicates that his longtime enemy Fram had talked about him, defaming him as a pedophile.

I'm pleased that Fram calling me a pedophile is what brought him down. It would be even nicer if I get unblocked now. Any admin can do this.

FFS... If we ever put together a soccer team, someone remind me that he has to stay out of our defensive third, because apparently all he knows how to do is kick it into his own goal.

I'm not sure if Guido is Dutch, but Fram is a Dutch-speaking Belgian, and Drmies is a Dutch ex-pat, so there might be a backstory here from another wiki.

Fram does indeed write Dutch, not Flemish. He is Belgian but may have been brought up (if you can say that at all) in the Netherlands.

The story isn't complicated. I've accomplished things in life. People like Fram just can't stand that. Since they can't fault my contributions, they attack me personally, especially over my chronic disease (ME) which they say doesn't exist. When they found that I can't be intimidated away, they started to make things up. This began 12 years ago on nl:wikipedia and spilled over to en:wikipedia and meta due to editors following me there. None of the block logs is real, it is all fabricated.

They weren't, as far as I know. Other editors with a similar attitude started this, but when they followed me to en:wikipedia Fram joined and took over the lead. Drmies didn't appear until later.

I don't hate either of them. I do think that they are both awfully bad human specimens but to me it was never personal, and I had hardly any dealings with Drmies onwiki. They do seem to hate each other though. Drmies must hate that Fram still owns him: he keeps believing everything that Fram says. And Fram hates everyone with a real-life identity.

One thing I've noticed is that people most concerned about their online privacy are generally the ones with the least to hide. I wonder if this is the case with Fram.

It's certainly true that he uses the internet as a way of hitting on people.

The Drmies Effect [Part II]

A link over on Fram's talk page points to a forthcoming edition of The Signpost.

It confirms what we probably already knew:

Opposition voters cited Drmies's oppose rationale more than any other. In it, he highlighted actions that have been suppressed but are alleged to be labeled "Potentially libelous/defamatory". Other voters cited this as well as more mundane temperament and civility issues.

PS. For posterity, this is worth quoting. It's from page #7 of this thread and was written after I predicted the importance of Drmies' oppose. Shows how wrong some people can be. But never mind!

I'd say Drmies' influence on the opposition is being overplayed
