Jeremy Hanson
He was recently convicted for threats against Merriam Webster, Hasbro and many more. I read somewhere that he was User:Jarlaxleartemis on Wikipedia, who had reportedly a productive editor in Harry Potter topics (according to Dramatica) until he had a serious fall-out with the community and turned into a long-term vandal as a result. Posting for discussion as this might be another example of Wikipedia corrupting souls.

Re: Jeremy Hanson
Ha ha. This would be a good place to post the usual "hope he is raped in prison" crap. He left behind uncounted thousands of victims everywhere he went. You'll have great difficulty finding sympathy for him.
DO NOT try to claim or assume Jeremy was "corrupted" by Wikipedia. It would be a mistake. He's been trolling vast chunks of the web for 20 years. WP was just one of many places he tried to ruin. And you can easily and safely bet that he deserved his criminal conviction--because he's done far worse things online. And usually gotten away with it. He is a rotten, spoiled little shit, and he genuinely enjoyed trolling and threatening people. Period.

Wanna know what Jeremy thinks of Wikipedians? Supposedly he wrote this Encyclopedia Dramatica article long ago. Thanks to ED going up and down like a yo-yo since 2017, all the original histories are long gone. There you are, an obscure bit of Wikipedia history, saved on an "unreliable source". As usual. Most of the signs of Jeremy's WP vandalism were obliterated before 2012.

ED's Grawp article is basically pretty accurate. Also as usual, he edited it himself. Rant rant rant.

Obviously this one would be inside the book wiki. I would like to see how it covers his origins and early activities?ericbarbour wrote: ↑Sun Apr 16, 2023 11:24 pmHa ha. Re: Jeremy Hanson
It would be pointless. Most of the links have gone bad because obsessed assholes like NawlinWiki ran around oversighting and removing the leftover diffs. Part of lil' Grawpie's wacky routine (along with Willie on Wheels) was to abuse MediaWiki internal page-move and rename functions. Early on they were not recorded as history items, leaving no clear trace. Admins absolutely despised him for exploiting a software weakness THEY knew all about. And did nothing to fix--until it became a vandalism issue. Partly because THEY liked to abuse it for their own evil schemes.Ognistysztorm wrote: ↑Sun Apr 16, 2023 11:59 pmObviously this one would be inside the book wiki. Does this make the situation a little clearer?

Here it is before it was blanked. It wasn't a bad summary, but does not resemble what USED to be there.

For many years Wiki-Nits used that page to rant about how much they hated him. It was fought over dozens of times. The original 2006 version of this article, written by early vandalism chaser Psychonaut, was a very infamous and early example of Wikipedians openly "doxing" someone they hated. At one point they had his home address and phone number listed--looks as if it was oversighted.

I will give you a photo from around 2010--because I can't find any pics of him on the web anymore.

Nope, they did not oversight it. Here it it is and here's an archive I made just in case they decide to delete it now. Also, this edit summary shows just how cognitively dissonant Wikipediots are.ericbarbour wrote: ↑Mon Apr 17, 2023 3:15 amFor many years Wiki-Nits used that page to rant about how much they hated him. Mr. Barbour, do you happen to know what the content of this link Zzuuzz removed was, or this edit by NawlinWiki?
"Globally banned" since September 5, 2023 for exposing harassment.

Re: Jeremy Hanson
You posted the wrong diff. I saw the actual diff many years ago before it went "poof". It had HIS STREET ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER. And there is no trace of it now.Bbb23sucks wrote: ↑Mon Apr 17, 2023 3:36 amNope, they did not oversight it. Here it it is and here's an archive I made just in case they decide to delete it now.
No I do not. They are also not related to doxing. Apparently it's "NOTPERMITTED" to post that Jeremy is going to jail. Why? Even the Almighty doesn't know.Mr. Barbour, do you happen to know what the content of this link Zzuuzz removed was, or this edit by NawlinWiki?
