Think I've said before the SOPA shutdown of 2012 was a fluke and the result of extensive arm-twisting and sockpuppeting by insiders to make it happen.
Well, there are ongoing arguments about a protest over the FCC Net Neutrality vote. And there's more "Wikipedia should not be taking political sides" shrieking than ever.
Note the presence of Headbomb and Masem screeching for a protest. An Objectivist troll and a brony. Wikipedia Is Magic!

Killing NN will screw up the whole "cord-cutting movement" in America where people are just ditching TV for online Everything. I think that no-one should become totally reliant on one media form or outlet, but the expense of even basic cable TV is insane so I see why this is going on. The telecoms want to channelize the Internet, force everybody to do everything according to idiot formulas that replicate how media was 40 years ago. It won't work, but they will try to squeeze us to make it work if net neutrality goes away.
Still "Globally Banned" on Wikipedia for the high crime of journalism.

Re: Net Neutrality and the usual gang of idiots
The Wikipedians pussied out and various other attempts to get people riled up all failed, so the FCC (in their infinite wisdom lol) voted 3-2 to deregulate. The Reagan years repeat themselves for our "entertainment".
And the Republicans are already fighting over it
