The phrase "body modification" seems more appropriate. The supposed distinction between gender and sex seems entirely contrived. I fully understand that some men tend to have stronger feminine traits and vice versa. Likewise, I'm sure a subset of them would rather simply be the opposite sex. However, I'm hard-pressed to imagine these people have been done a great service by the hacks who conceived this idea, which boils down to a needless distortion of language.

All those habits seem fairly benign compared to the programming on NPR, MSNBC and the like. People don't get these ideas from barbie dolls or transformers.

One of the comics I had prominently featured an Autobot called Sideswipe and the name stuck with me. By the time I became an online gamer, it just felt right.
